Guidelines for Meeting Conduct
Purpose: To Outline Ethical conduct expected of the SCNA board, members, and guests.
Conduct expectations are as follows
- Serve the Community with sensitivity, professionalism, and concern.
- Act with honesty and integrity in all matters
- Communicate in a respectful, positive, supportive and cordial manner.
- An ability to communication which includes: interpersonal, listening and speaking
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner
- Works as a team player, including volunteering for committees, attending planning meetings and neighborhood functions.
- Abide by all local, state, and federal laws
- Abide by the Roberts Rules of Order, Minneapolis Neighborhood Revitalization Program Conflict of Interest Policy, and SCNA's By-Laws
- Represent the Shingle Creek Neighborhood Association as a role model and keep positive public relationship inside and outside of meetings and functions
- No Member of the council may use alcohol or illegal drugs before attending a meeting or event.
- Shingle Creek Neighborhood Association prohibits handguns or weapons at its meetings
