The volunteer board of the Shingle Creek Neighborhood Association has several short and long-term projects they are working on that have mostly identified in their City approved Neighborhood Revitalization Program Action Plan.
Short term things like creating and implementing new neighborhood signs! Hosting the 14th Annual Shingle Creek Clean-up, Shingle Creek Community Garden, Camden Youth Engagement Project, School Supply drive in the fall, and Tour de Camden.
Long-term committees talk about ongoing community efforts that need monitoring or addressing such as Housing, Crime and Safety, Finance, and Shingle Creek Elementary School Reuse. These are topics that either affect the community or the SCNA organization in the future.
All meetings of the Shingle Creek Neighborhood Association are free and open to the public. We invite you to check out our calendar, come to an upcoming meeting or event and find out what’s going on in the neighborhood that you can help with!
Our neighborhood is the neighborhood we help create!
